Sam Price - Omaha Estuary - 'Ollie' Flatland Trick
Jon Kennedy - Kaitiritri - backside down-the-line waveriding trick
Sam Price - Omaha Estuary - 50-50 Rail

Skimboarding is similar to surfing. Shrink a surfboard by height, take of its fins and thin the board and you basically have a skimboard! So you have a rough idea now of what it looks like, but how do you use it? What do you do? Well there are two versions of skimboarding;
Flatland & Waveriding

Flatland
... is where skimboarding meets skateboarding. The skimboard is thrown/dropped infront of you on a film of water. You then run and ‘jump’ onto the skimboard. The skimboard ‘skims’ over the film of water and allows you to slide along. You can then do tricks that have been migrated from skateboarding. Objects have been migrated from skateboarding such as ramps, rails and more! If you get good, you can skim on rails and ramps and possibly get a bit of air or do 50-50s etc.

Waveriding
... is where skimboarding meets surfing. Just like flatland, the board is dropped a little infront of you and quickly mounted (standing up) so that the skimboarder is skimming down a, generally, steep slope and into shore-breaking waves. These waves are then riden back. Just like flatland, tricks can be performed like skateboarding moves such as 360s, Pop-Shuvits and Aerials... yes... Aerials (if you get good enough).
