Skimboard Brands
ZAP Skimboards
www.zapskimboards.com - ZAP Skimboards are the boards that Ballistics imports from Florida, America. They are pretty decent boards especially compared to what you usually get here in New Zealand.
OXS Skimboards
www.bebo.com/OXSs3 - OXS Skimboards is New Zealand's FIRST skimboarding brand and is hitting New Zealand hard. These boards are all flatland boards that have been produced to perform with 'Drop, squat n pop performance'! Be sure to get your hands on one of these!
They can be found on TradeMe (check the 'I want a board' page to find out how to get one) or by talking to OXS on the OXS bebo profile! Exile Skimboards
www.exileskimboards.com - Exile Skimboards are not imported into New Zealand as far as I know. They are generally expensive but a very decent brand. If you're planning to buy from overseas and get it shipped, then check out their boards at this website.
Maui Skimmers
www.mauiskimmers.com - Maui Skimboards are pretty decent, but an aquired taste. These boards are made in Hawaii (Maui) and have a slightly thicker structure with more rocker. These boards have a lot of control but can slow down a lot faster due to the rocker. These boards, as far as I know, are not sold in New Zealand.
