Intro
Well, I guess I really shouldn't call this page 'about us' because it really isn't. It's only made up of me (Sam Walsh). BUT, it's not just me who puts this information up here. It's YOU! E-mail your stuff in!

How the Website Came About
Well, it's all quite simple. In October 2007 I decided that, yes, skimboarding is growing in New Zealand, but at a very slow rate. I have seen many skimboarders pop up here and there and have noticed that when one person skimboards at one beach, others see what people can do on them and then want to try it themselves and then they show others and so forth creating an exponential growth of skimboarders! So it is through this website that I hope the sport (yes, I call it a sport, just like snowboarding and surfing etc.) can grow using the information both you and I can provide.

Website Sections for Public Input
So, you may be a skimboarder yourself, or you may not be. But for the skimboarders, they can share their knowledge and experience through this website. This website is open to anyone's input for pictures, skimspots, videos, tricks and any other sources of information. All you have to do is e-mail me! This sharing of information will allow skimboarding to grow and spread across New Zealand. From there, it's to the imagination. If you have any ideas for any parts of this site, or anything that you may like or not like about this site, please feel free to e-mail me at content@nzskimboarding.com
